HIGH everybody. I'm Amy Anonymous and I like stuff

Born in the good ole T Dot, I'm a canna activist/advocate, baker, Mother, and MMAR card holder. I educate new, old and potential cannabis consumers about the benefits of cannabis and help them make choices on medicine geared to their symptoms. When I am not answering emails, attending rallies or doing cannabis education get-togethers for people in need, I can usually be found in a kitchen..baking away! I make edible and wearable forms of medicine like cookies, bars, tinctures, creams and an assortment of other items. I'm a huge fan of spreading love and repping my city-properly! When musicians/artists come to Toronto for shows/events, I like to make them "welcome to Toronto" gift baskets because I also understand the counter-culture side of the cannabis industry. I'm very passionate about what I do and I am a firm believer in cannabis as medicine. Everyday cannabis improves the quality of my life, let me give you a bit of insight....
April 10th 2005 I was in a horrible car accident. I fractured my neck in 3 places, pelvis in 3 spots and shattered my wrist in my dominant hand. I also had a handful of other not so serious injuries. Recovery was long and hard! I was in my early 20's and I was just so grateful to be breathing. After a couple years taking pain killers for the constant pain in my wrist and lingering pain in my neck, I knew I needed to find a better way to manage the pain. The pills were making me miserable and I just wasn't the happy go lucky me I remembered being. I used cannabis recreationally for many years prior to the car accident and even after, but I never realized the benefits I was receiving from it because I was so diluted with pills. I started doing research on alternatives for pain relief and BAM - Cannabis kept topping the charts as the best alternative to pharmaceuticals. I decided it was time to stop the pills and increase my cannabis use. I swear to you that was one of the best decisions I have made in my entire life!! I was aware of my surroundings again, I had my energy back, I was no longer a drone... I WAS ME AGAIN. I would never go back to pharmaceuticals...EVER! (and I have not)
I ran into a huge problem with my choice of medicine. Being an active and very social mother, it was not easy for me to medicate as often as I needed to. It is not socially acceptable -due to the stigma attached to cannabis- to light a joint by a tree while your child is playing in the park in your view. Being a vegetarian who didn't eat much veggies, it only made sense to put my medicine in baked goods. I already had a small business selling baked goods and novelty chocolate items, so I was familiar with the kitchen and quality control. WOW life got easier once medibles entered it!!
I am not promoting the illegal use of cannabis. I am simply trying the inform people there are many other options than smoking when medicating with cannabis. I hope this site helps you Educate, Motivate and Salivate.
