Saturday August 29th I joined what looked like most of Toronto and lined the streets to say good-bye to Jack. He gave our country hope for a better tomorrow. I thank him for the positive leadership he showed our country and for everything our youth will do in the future because of his inspiration. RIP Jack Layton. You will be missed by an entire country
On August 22nd 2011 while walking to the bus stop I checked my emails and read the devastating news - Jack Layton had passed away from cancer. My eyes welled up with tears and all I could think about was the reply he had sent me to a letter I had sent to him and a few MP's about my concerns with Bill S-10. Jack responded with a sincere letter addressing all my concerns. It made me feel like I was listened to. Even if it was only for the brief 3 minutes it took to read, I felt heard. The other MP's sent generic letters back. In fact, a few of my friends got identical letters when they sent their letters of concern.

Today while riding the Don Mills subway line I saw a friendly operator and asked him if I could have a few words with him. I'd like to thank James for sharing his opinions with me and for understanding - IT'S JUST A PLANT! Lotsa Love,
♥Amy Anonymous♥ I would like to thank all my site watchers and blog readers for all your support and kind words you have given me. Here is a little video of what's to come in the near future. I hope we all know I was kidding about forgetting Gramcracker. She's happy and healthy and medicating with cannabis. ♥
Lotsa Love, ♥Amy Anonymous♥ Amy Anonymous Talks With The TTC About Vaporizing On Their Vehicles.... And The Verdict Is...8/16/2011 ![]() I take public transit to work everyday. My commute is about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. During this time I often find I need to medicate. Unsure of the rules, I usually take the risk and discretely whip out my vaporizer. I've asked many employees of the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) if I was allowed to medicated on the TTC owned vehicle and everybody has given me the same answer- They have no idea! Today I met a subway driver who has worked there for 32 years. I asked him if I was allowed and he said " In the 32 years I have worked here, I have never been asked that question." We chatted until I got off the subway. I told him I would get to the bottom of this today......and so I did. Below is a recording of the conversation I had with TTC staff today about vaporizing on TTC's vehicles. Lotsa Love,
♥Amy Anonymous♥ I'd been waiting weeks for this day to arrive. Gramcracker's 91st birthday party was finally here and I was sooo excited! I assumed it would be like a typical birthday party - food, wine chatting and cake - and it was. Except the topic of the evening was not so typical for a lady's 91st birthday party. CANNABIS was on all the guests minds....... When I arrived at the party, a few of the guests were in the kitchen but most were sitting outside in the back. "The drugs are here" came from a voice coming into the kitchen. I chuckled and said hello to Gram's son (Leigh's father) and made my way outside to see the birthday girl. She was sitting in the backyard with 6 of her friends, all 50+. None, except Gramcracker, were cannabis users. "Is that Amy" is what I thought I heard being whispered to one another as I was walking towards the group. "We've been waiting for you" one lady called out when I sat down at the table. Gramcracker asked me if I brought her medicine with me and I replied "of course" with a smile, and let her know where I had placed her meds in the house. Did that ever start the guest talking - LET THE CANNABIS PARTY BEGIN! I brought an extra balm with me just in case and I am so glad I did. I placed the balm on the table and asked if anybody wanted to try it - NO PRESSURE! They were all very hesitant. I explained what I used it for (inflammation and chronic pain) and how to apply it. I also let them know that it was an illegal product because it contained cannabis. We all kept chatting about cannabis and it's uses and after a little while, one woman decided to try it. She put it on her neck and forgot about it because we were all so wrapped up in cannabis conversation. Then another lady applied it. Before I knew it everybody at the table was rubbing balm onto aches they had. "Whatever happened to Tupperware parties" one lady yelled out and got us all cracking up - even Gramcracker "This stuff actually works" happily said the lady who put the balm on her neck. "I don't feel pain there now." "Me either" said another woman who applied the balm. In fact, every single person at that table said the same thing - except 1 man. He had not tried the balm yet. After listening to all the ladies talk about how great the felt, he gave in. He put it on his neck and shoulders. He explained to me that he is not able to lift his arms over his head, ever! This makes it extremely difficult for him to bridal a horse. We kept chatting around the table and all of the sudden the man started to lift his arms. He can normally only get them to shoulder level but the kept going up - up,up and up until his fingers were pointed at the sky. Tears started rolling down his face. I though he was joking at first because he had his face half covered with his shirt and he was smiling. I was dead wrong!! Gram's son started freaking out " HE CANNOT DO THAT- I've NEVER seen that man able to do that" I looked at the man and the man looked at me and I knew it was real and he was serious. He had tears pouring down his face and he got up to give me a hug. I ran and met him half way around the table for that hug. He thanked me over and over and kept lifting his arms in shock and amazement. Back to Gramcracker. When Gramcracker went back into the house after being outside for a bit I knew it was my chance to get a more personal answer about how she was feeling about medicating with cannabis. I sat beside her and asked her if she could explain how the cannabis made her feel. Gram said she finally gets to sleep and stays asleep. She had terrible pains in her side before she started medicating with cannabis that would wake her up from her sleep and also made it difficult for her to fall asleep. She said she put balm on all her aches before she went to bed and it made her feel good. Gram also said that eating the cookies helped her remain asleep and also sleep in! I was so happy to hear this. I tried to record her but my memory card was out of room. ARGH!!! After finally erasing stuff on my card, I did manage to get a small 20 second clip. Before I left, I thanked Gramcracker for allowing me to share her story. I told her she has helped open many people's eyes to cannabis consumption for seniors. That smile on her face will be forever embedded in my mind
Lotsa Love, ♥Amy Anonymous ♥ I find doctors don't educate their patients on the benefits of cannabis. I am NO doctor but I'd like to give you all a little information you may find helpful. I hope this motivates you to do your own research and talk to your family members about cannabis and it's benefits. My words may be a little jumbled, I kinda get emotional, but the message is clear - CANNABIS IS THE ANSWER!
