There are so many feeling and emotions that go with this video that I cannot type out. I cannot thank the people who donated to help make this happen enough!! This is the 4th year I have done this. Every year it gets bigger and better! This year we included winter jackets to the gifts. a total of 50 Gift bags were handed out to the less fortunate on the streets of Toronto. Each bag included a winter jacket, gloves, a hat, scarf, a couple pairs of socks, hand warmers, a food card to McDonald's, a lighter, rolling papers, milk, cookies and cannabis.
The last stop we made at Covenant House really made me think- especially when one of the boys said that this was the first gift he had received for Christmas in a while. These young adults are our future. We need to guide them! We need to support them! WE NEED TO SHOW THEM HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE! So please think about this video the next time you walk past someone on the street. Remember THEY MATTER!!
